The Good Gear

  • Collars

Collars help us communicate with our BEASTS. They come in all forms. Martingales, slip leads, prong collars, metal, rope, leather, constrictive to loose to harnesses for our puling breeeds. I have loads of sizes and styles and am here to help you select the perfect collar for your dog.

  • Leashes/Leads

Your connection to your dog starts with you. Your leash or lead is the artery that bonds you both. Selecting a lead is as important as choosing the proper collar as it is choosing the right dog. Should it be a 15-foot tether or a 6-foot leather walk lead? I’ll help you find a product that is versatile and won’t bankrupt the dog’s retirement fund.

  • Sleep/Crate Training

Using a crate for your dog taps into their natural den instincts, providing a safe space that's all theirs. It offers separation between training, play, and relaxation, reinforcing boundaries and a sense of security. When done lovingly, it establishes a foundation of trust and respect, enhancing your bond with your dog and harmonizing family life.

  • Own It!

The key to being a successful dog handler is owning your successes and acknowledging and learning from the setbacks. I’ve worked with my $50k service dog for years. We still struggle on escalators. Dogs are a constant journey!

  • E-Stim

E-stim should be used ethically, prioritizing respect and communication with your dog. It's vital to employ it as part of a balanced training approach, ensuring the dog's well-being is the top priority. The goal is to enhance clear communication and understanding, fostering a compassionate and ethical training experience.

*E-Stim training is case by case, and should never be attempted by novices. This is a professional tool. Please consult an expert before attempting*

  • Laugh!!!!

Completing simple dog training and understanding what a dog and human want is life-changing. I hope you come through this process in a neutral state. It’s all about laughing at yourself and the dog.
